Our Staff

Ms. Sue Arlia presides over the operations of the three centers from the main office in Closter and shares the duties of director with Maria Lignos. Mrs. Christine Harris has been with Jack in the Box Schools for over 20 years as co-director of the Closter center as well as helping Mrs. Sue launch her second center in Alpine. She became the energetic director and the driving force at Jack in the Box. In 2007, Mrs. Christine helped Jack in the Box open their largest center in Tenafly and hasbeen the Director ever since. Mrs. Bernadette DeLuca, a teacher from the Closter center, is now the director of the Alpine center, and has been instrumental in extending the hours of operations and sponsoring the SACC (School Age Child Care) program for the benefit of the Alpine elementary school children. Staff members at Jack in the Box include certified teachers, Child Development Associates and teaching assistants. Our staff members are trained for First Aid and CPR. The staff regularly complete courses and attend seminars relating to the latest trends in education. Our directors and teachers regularly meet to focus on educational plans, brainstorm ideas for new projects and create paths for professional development. In addition, we are always open and accessible to meeting and talking with parents.
